Meet our Veterinarians….


Dr Thomas J. Bauk, DVM, is the owner of Middletown Veterinary Clinic and is a lifelong resident of Maryland. Dr. Bauk graduated with honors from the University of Maryland with a degree in Animal Science. He then completed his veterinary degree with high honors in 1986 from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. He was a member of the Phi Zeta National Honor Society and received outstanding achievement for Equine Medicine and Surgery. While completing his graduate degree he was employed in the United States Public Health Service working at the National Institute of Health Animal Center. Upon graduation Dr. Bauk worked for Dr. Robert D. Fulton at the Middletown Veterinary Clinic until taking over in 1990. Dr. Bauk is a member of the AVMA and MVMA and is currently serving as Vice President of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association. The Middletown Valley has been a great place to serve and a great place for Tom, wife Linda and daughters Nicole and Kristen to grow as a family. He is pictured here with the newest addition to the family, Captain Morgan, a rescue.


Meet our veterinary support team….

Beth Wood: Office Manager

Beth’s family includes her husband of 40 years, two grown children, she is soon to be a grandmother, and has seven rescues. Three of the rescues are dogs and the other four are cats. She is shown here with one of her cats Keeva.



Abby Ellison: Office Assistant

Abby moved to the Middletown/Myersville area as a child and still loves the area. She has been an animal lover all her life, After graduating from Middletown High School in 2006, Abby found a perfect way to put her passion and talents to good use. She joined the staff at Middletown Veterinary Clinic working part-time, and is now a full time veterinary technician. In her free time Abby likes spending time with her friends and family, especially her sister and two young nieces. Abby’s favorite sidekick is her little Boston Terrier Olive who is frequently seen by her side at the office.




Ariana Sparks: Office Assistant

Ariana is a veterinary assistant. She joined the Middletown Veterinary Clinic staff three years ago. Ariana is currently attending Frederick Community College to become a certified veterinary technician. She shares her home with a German Shepherd mix named Tehya.
